All trains are running to the normal Grand Central timetable. There are timetable changes ON SUNDAY due to Network Rail engineering work. Please check the Service Alterations page. Passengers travelling on days with engineering works are advised to reserve a seat. On Sunday 14th March the 1710 service from Sunderland to Kings Cross will be very busy. Grand Central Class 180's
Grand Central has recently acquired new ‘class 180’ high speed trains.
These trains are part way through a programme of enhancements. This includes provision of Wi-Fi and power points at seat. We are working to get this improvement completed as a priority.
Some of our new trains are not yet painted in Grand Central colours. Please check with a member of staff if you are unsure about the correct train to board.
First Class is located in coach F, the buffet is located in coach C and facilities for disabled passengers and baby changing can be found in coach D.
